Sorry I am from Ohio and I don't know where he is from. My civic (when running. LOL) is driven year round. We get lots of rain, snow and a lovely mix of salty slush and water. CAI without the foam thing to prevent sucking up water is not a good thing here. Just giving my 2 cents for where I live.

i suggest the sri, i personally like them. and like STevo said "weather makes the difference" so if your in a same situation then get the sri over cai.

lol, i have an sri. a sh!ty one at it too. i might just get an aem sri or go stock air filter.

yeah really? with CA restrictions..i dont think so. either stock or AEM (only CA-aproved aftermarket i believe)

If daily driven i would suggest SRI. But if its your week ender. CAI FTW! Thats what i have in my car.

I was wondering, i have a 95 Civic EX with a bad engine. Are any parts interchangeble with a 99 Civic Hatchback engine?

yeah thanks guys. i actually got a sik deal.. an aem cai with bypass, like new for 50 buks! i have it as a sri, liked it better.
