DO NOT BUY AN EBAY INTAKE. To me it's worth it to spend the 3 bills on the AEMV2 CAI. I made the mistake of buying an ebay CAI, and wow what a mistake. The materials that ebay parts are made out of are ****. My CEL came on saying low IAT sensor, basically saying that the think I just put on my car is a piece of ****. 1 week later I bought the AEMV2, no CEL, no BS. Best decision I have ever made.

And spending 200 dollars on a muffler is retarded, spend 80 and get a megan muffler. Megan makes super high quality parts for a price thats in between ebay and name brand. I love my megan system, sounds sick as ef. Go on youtube and search around for exhausts on your year civic.

Okay, so buy an AEMV2 CAi, a Megan header, and get a megan muffler and have your muffler shop either just put the muffler on if your cheap, but if you have some extra money get new piping done. It's usually in between 120 - 160 for the piping and then another 30 - 50 to install the system. So for the exhaust thats 80 plus about 140, so about 220 for your exhaust. I think going custom is the most cost effective way to get an exhaust.

Thanks for all your feedback-it's a great resource! So far I've gotten AEM CAI from AutoAnything ($236), BuddyClub ProSpec from a local shop($160+tax)(40 install), and high performance headlights $65. I'm really happy w/the better throttle response and the deep throaty exhaust sound. But the "high performance" headlightssucks-only modest improvements-but still lacking the intensity of newer cars. Iguess the power supply to the headlights is limited & should have spent $160on a xenon conversion kit instead.

My next project is increasing my wheel from stock 14" to 16"x7 Enkei wheels ($116 per wheel-17.5lb)and using a 205/45/16 Falken 915 tires-cheap+good reviews. (2.24% increase in radial) Edgeracing.com is selling the combo at around $780.00.I'm still browsing craigslist and ebay for good rim/tire deals-used. My last projectis to install a 4-2-1 DC header from the shop maybe around $340.Any feedback?
