Default FIRST TIME CIVIC OWNER WITH A TECH QUESTION

Hey Everyone. Apologies in advance if I'm asking this in the wrong forum. I just bought a new 2006 Honda Civic yesterday, 8/18. While on test drives if I took my hands off the wheel on a straight road, the car would pretty much stay straight.

I took my car over to a buddy's house tonight to show him and while checking it out and trying to show me something he turned the wheels while the car was in park. I don't think he had the key fully turned and so was turning the wheel without any power steering. Now on a straight piece of road the car will pull about 10 feet to the right within about 40 feet.

Could he have damaged something, or am I just being a drama queen? Suggestions on what to do, besides breathing into a paper bag and hyperventilating?

Thanks.

Jeremy

Doing that shoulndt have messed up your steering. Maybe you hit a pothole? that will get your steering unaligned, to get it fixed you have to get the cars steering aligned.

hm...thats weird. i would say that you did hit a pothole or something in the road. to get it fixed just take it to a local shop and get an alignment. it will run you about 60 bucks or so.

Don't take it to a shop, since you bought it yesterday just go back to the dealership and tell them it was doing that since you got it.

A little white lie never hurt anybody.
