Former S2000 owner, soon to be Civic SI Coupe owner, questions
Hey everyone, I used to own an '05 S2000 and had to get rid of it due to the economy a few months back. I loved it, and although it was great to drive, there was one thing I didn't particulary like about it stock. I was wondering if the Civic SI Coupe has the same issue. My S2000 like I said was stock, and it had a very weak clutch. The gearbox shifted perfectly, but you couldn't really dump the clutch for some real power off the start, let alone do a burnout. I was wondering if shifting the 6 speed gearbox for the most part was identical to the S's as well. Aside from that, driving my S2000 was a blast, and I'm looking for a cheaper more practical alternative. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

Well that's because it was stock a lighter clutch gives you more power to dump it or whatever you have planned. Now if your talking about the newer 8th Gen Si's yes they are probably similar, but I think one of the best parts of the new Si is the feeling of the small ratio 6 speed shifter and the clutch feels pretty good IMO, but the Si has less power than the S2000 at the same time.
By the way welcome to HCF.
