I bought a new 5 spd. LX coupe today. My '04 PT Cruiser had 99k miles and was due for some major maintenance. Being as it was not the greatest car I'd ever owned and struggled to get 25 mpg, I decided to get rid of it. After looking at the Corolla, Focus and Mazda3 I settled on the Civic. While I wound up paying sticker for the car, Honda is currently offering 2.9% financing on the Civic, so over the life of the loan the Civic ends up costing less than the others.

This is not my first Civic. I owned an '87 CRX Si that I bought in '94. I autocrossed it and then turned it into an SCCA Improved Touring racer. My racing number was 46 hence the Racer46 screen name.

I bought this car mostly as a commuter vehicle, I have a 100 mile round trip to work every day, so I won't be doing much in the way of performance upgrades though a set of rims may be in the future. For fun I have a '90 Miata with a turbo and suspension upgrades.
