Exclamation having a braking problem...

I have an ek coupe with a Ls b18b1 turbo with some goodies putting out
320hp, runs great the only problem is when i try to slow down my car wont slow down takes a good distance to come to a complete stop, im wasting my brake pads pretty quick i have slotted disk brakes still have the stock calippers .. need some good advise......

i had the same problem with my mustang i used to race. i upgraded my pads and installed slotted rotors. you already have the slotted rotors so i would get a high performace pad.

not sure how or where you drive but if you do intense driving such as racing through a canyon or tracks and you do not have performance pads your brakes will get very hot and glaze over making it a much smoother surface thus not gripping the rotor as it should and significantly decrease your stopping power. You can sand them slightly to repair some of the damage but would be better off replacing. Just a possibility and suggestion.

mostly track and street...... you guys wouldnt kno of any good brands or any that would last me a good time cuz every time im done pressing on the brakes smoke jst comes out my pads but since the duralast gold have life time worrenty i change them after every 3 races so i wont **** up my disc's.......... thanks

i would bet money they are glazed. get high temp or racing pads. cant name a specific brand sorry.
