Help with Honda Civic VTi
Hi there, great forum.
My dad recently passed away and he was the proud owner of a (uk) N-registered Japanese imported Civic VTi. As she doesnt drive my mom is trying to sell the car. One bloke who recently viewed it tried to offer her literally pennies as he said 'theres no way thats a VTi - it has power but not enough'
Thankfully my mum told him where to go. But was he trying to rip her off or not? Is there a way from numbers or part numbers under the bonet or anyway to tell if it is indeed a VTi or not? the sticker on the back says VTi and the vehicle was purchased from a garage a few years ago as a VTi.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i live 200+ miles away from my mum and i dont want her to be ripped off.
Also if anyone would be interested in buying a N reg Civic VTi in black from North Wales please email me on mail @ anthonyparry .co.uk but without the spaces!!!
Thanks Guys,
Anthony.

RE: Help with Honda Civic VTi
Well AFAIK there isnt a lot of paperwork that says it is a VTi... Apparently the DVLA have it classed as a saloon - which surely cant be right as its a hatchback? My mum has been in touch with Honda Customer services and they are getting back to her on monday, hopefully they can help with it all!

RE: Help with Honda Civic VTi
I can solve this one, sadly it is not a vti in the uk sense that is, uk vti's came with the dohc b16a2 engine rated at 160 bhp, yours being a jdm vti (ferio) is a sohc d15b engine rated at 130bhp. It is a cracking little engine but not as sort after therefore not worth as much as a uk vti b16. Sorry.
