Exclamation Hey all new to Hondas first import-old dog trying to learn new tricks

St.Louis,Mo. here picked up a 2000 Hatch had full B16A2 conversion and some nice bolt on goodies.Cant lie until my tech told me to buy i would not have know one engine from the other..lol..
Wanted to learn something new,not use to a power band thats in the meat at 7K,used to fender twisting take offs..So bear with an old guy as he learns.
I just dont want to be another loud Honda-when i dealt with the old iron it was easy just dont run whatever body is....Im concerned i just bought the belly button car of the import world..But i drove it and it is impressive.
So i will watch, listen more than talk, and learn.

Thanks
bob

Talking first drive home

Well i finally drove it home today a trip of about 22 miles one way. Before i took it anywhere i had it up on a lift and went thru it,safety in something that can do triple digits is very important and i don't take anyone's word on that.
Was cruising along at about 65 in 5th getting used to being in something this low and small..im a truck guy..American iron..first import. So the road cleared ahead of me and i had never really been in it.I had changed the oil 5w20 Mobil one and a Bosch filter.I grabbed it and pulled it into 3 rd and buried my right foot i was amazed as the the tach went past 7K the car just took off in seconds i was at 110mph and i reeled it in not trying to get anyone hurt.
But i gotta tell you the noise from that engine when i shifted at 8K was really sweet.Im hooked now..
