Hey everybody! i bought a white 92' honda civic lx about a month ago and i enjoy driving it everyday! i love it!!
Okay so this feels a little weird for me right now only because i never thought i would fall so in love for a car and care so much about it, you know. Anyway i don't know if any of you are familiar with yotatech.com if you are then you know whats up but if not then let me explain...my boyfriendhas a toyota 4runner and he is sooooo into his car etc. anyway the point is that i'm jealous that they have their own forum and i was in search for a forum for my own car...found it! so i'm excited! like some/most girls i don't know much about cars but i am willing to learn and i'm excited to chat with you guys

Right now i want to fix what needs to be fixed now and then all the goodies can come later...i need to by a new atenna probably from the honda dealership or maybe online i'm not sure. I tried going to pep boys and buying one from them butit was the wrong one. Also,there is this pinging noise thatoccurs only when i idle and i believe it has to do something with the new spark plugs i put in several weeks ago...they might be too tight? i'm not sure though.

so i'm assuming that is a pic of your car...looks great!

 

Try a local junkyard for anantenna possibly. eBay probably has some used ones on there too.

About the idle, did you gap the spark plugs or make sure the gap was correct?

Also, your ignition timing could be off. That can usually be adjusted by turning the distributor, but you will need a timing light. If you buy a haynes or chilton manual at your local auto parts store it will tell you how to do all of this.
