no, the automatic can be fixed. get any integra type r motor (B18c5) but get the whole swap. it will come with almost everything you need for the changeover. you will also need the clutch pedal assembly and the clutch cylinder. then the lines going to the tranny. a decent (performance) shop can do the changeover. expect to pay between 4-5000 for the motor, and under a grand for install. it should be less than that depending on the reputation of the shop. if its a really big, well-known shop, they can charge a little more than smaller shops. and as long as you dont mind the lack of options over the dx, the si isnt worth it. it weighs more. the 93 hatch is a great platform no matter what model it is.

I'm pretty sure there were no Civic Si coupe versions in 1993 unless you're talking about the one from 2000. All Civic Sis otherwise (to my knowledge) were hatchbacks.

lose the hatchback and automatic tranny go with a 93 si coupe hatch backs just dont work and racing an automatic isnt worth doin up

thats right. well, actually the si coupe was in 99 as well, but ..... youre on the right track. and yeah, hatchbacks have more potential as a racer because the chassis is lighter and it has a shorter wheelbase, so it can handle a little better than a comparable coupe.
