Default Hi Everyone.

Hey guys, I'm totally new at this. I need an expert, or someone with a lot of experience! I hope someone here can help. I just purchased a 2001 civic lx coupe with 80K. I bought it 4 days ago, and since then it has given me a few red flags. One, the battery light indicator flashes every once in a while, while driving indicating that it's currently not being charged. I checked the battery, it has a full charge, since this is the case..I'm thinking it might be the alternator? I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow, and am hoping he doesn't screw me on this. You know how some of them can be, especially to females. I was wondering if anyone here can help? Any kind of information would be useful, before I confront him.

Thanks!

Chantaille.

Thanks for responding mill$civic, purpleciviccoupe!! I appreciate it.

What the really stupid part of this is, before I bought the vehicle, I had a Honda dealership (not the dealership I purchased the vehicle from) run the vehicle through a checklist. I paid them $120 to inspect the car for any problems. Shouldn't they have found this?

i would bring it back to them and say that. but im sure that they will just say that the light wasnt on when they checked it out. it could just be as simple as a loose connection also. check for corrosion and tightness of the batery cables and alt connection.
