i still have that image as a young kid of that one car right on the edge just before falling over. and then a buss with a bunch of people fell over and died, and one guy in a truck, i believe he actually lived to tell the story. (I think i kinda just told my age lol)

Yea, I understand.

It doesn't bother me as much because I wasn't even alive when it happened. I'm sure if I had been alive when it happened it would make me nervous.

I read the story on wikipedia, really sad. That one guy with the truck fell off and landed on the boat that hit the bridge and was the only survivor of the fall. It's sad yet touching though; he was the last person allowed to drive over the old bridge (the other side of the bridge of course) and once they reached the top him and his wife dropped 35 white carnations for each of the deceased.


If it makes you feel any better about it though, the new bridge isn't built in exactly the same spot, it goes off to the side. The only thing it has in common is the name.

when i crossed the bridge i was a passenger, so i got to actually "look", and I it was awesome, but then scary. at that point i just looked straight ahead and wished to quickly be on land lol
