Take a pic of under the hood and check the code there. Looks like somebody has done work to it.

Welcome to the forum! I had the same car as you til it got written off. Your engine should be the d15b2 which has a whopping92hp at the crank. Depending on how much horsepower you want will determine the best advise. If you are looking for just a little more umph then intake/header/exhaust is your route. If you're looking for some real speed then swap or turbo. If the later is not an option i would recommend reading up on a multiport fuel injection swap (mpfi) relitively cheap and definitely noticeable.

Good luck.

ahh cool , thanx for the advice! ill be defitnatly going that route with the intake, header , and exhaust ( to start off)as far as the gears go did the DX come with a five speed? i drove it on the freeway once i got into 5th it basically took off like a jet ( a small one...or better yet more like a UFO LOL) one guy told me that the only hondahatchbacksthat had the five speed was the SI , EX , and SiR then he added "but then again i dont really know i just stick to volkswagens" HA!!
