Honda Civic 2009 Millage, NOT GOOD
Hello guys,
I have leased Honda Civic 2009, LX model. Overall not a bad car, nice design, like the space inside, nice seats.
BUT the gas millage is overall a DISASTER: 260 miles so far, 20.8 MPG, city ride mostly. I wasn't pushing the gas pedal to hard, neither accelerating to fast, never went over 2300 RPM. With my old Honda Civic 1994 I managed to get 32-35 MPG city drive and 41 MPG highway. I understand that the car is new I that the MPG might get better after couple hundred miles (some people said after couple thousands miles), but I don’t believe it’s going to get so much better than this. If I was not careful enough I am quite sure the millage would be 18 MPG or less, which is the millage of a middle size SUV. I leased the car, and wasn’t quite sure if I did it right, thought it would be better that I purchased it, but now I am quite sure I want this car more than 3 years.
What's your opinion and experience with new cars' millage.
Cheers
