I have a 1990 DX Hatch Civic 5spd. 1.5. I have a spoon sports header and high flow cat on the way and muffler and one of those cheap ebay intakes. I would like to make the car faster. What can i do to make it faster other than these things? Or do I have to swap the motor out? Can you put a turbo on these engines? I am in the NAVY and cant think of any other way to blow my money.

Well hands down the engine swap is going to be the biggest power upgrade and potential monster build. BUT EXPENSIVE! You could put a turbo on but those are also expensive, probably about 2000 or so. Maybe for now switch out the ebay intake with an actual tested model... like AEM or Simota or Injen.

Is the spoon sports a good header? Should i tackle the job myself or will i get into trouble and tear something up and be without a car for a while? What are people having trouble with about the bolts

If you have money to invest into your car, and you really want something with real power, do a swap. I don't know how educated you are on engines and what not, so I don't know if you would be able to do it without a shop. My friend did a swap in his driveway not too long ago with just a book telling him how.
Before you go puting a ton of money into building up that dinky engine, I'd just go for a swap. But like I said, it depends on how far you want to go and how much money you have to spend.
I wouldn't consider it "blowing" money, but more as in "upgrading" or "investing" into your car.
P.S. Let's see some pictures of it. [8D]

Thanks for all the help so far. I guess the header I have now won't fit on a B series engine. Is a B engine the best to get? Where do you get them. Also am I gonna have trouble putting my headers on?
