Default Just another new guy

Hey all. I didn't join today, but I never really politely introduced myself to everybody. My name's Darius and I wasn't exactly happy to join the world of Civic owners.

I joined shortly after buying my 5th gen hatchback. Going from a super clean DSM to a Civic that was used as a beater for years frustrated me plenty. But as I slowly fix and improve my ride, I'm starting to see tons of potential. And now...I may actually put the time and dollars into restoring the poor neglected vehicle. But as of now, I don't even have a stereo installed. Living in New Jersey, I'll need a kickass alarm system before I dangle that carrot in front of the thieves.

However, I've already:

-Replaced a cracked windshield

-Bought most of the components I'd need for power steering.

-Raised the coilovers. The car was dropped to the ground and had zero suspension. [:@] It was brutal!

-Tinted the glass.

-Ebayed a steering column cover.

-Bought a replacement battery tray.

-Fixed the cup holder.

Thanks guys. I paid $1800 for it. Although the car is far from clean, I didn't realize how great a deal it was until I came here.

B16A 2nd gen... I'm still trying to find out if the motor mounts, axles and A/C compressor are compatible.

In your car you have a D-series engine so you will need to change out your motor mounts. oh and you will hafta change out your axles as well. if you leave those ones in there you will rip them right out.

chekc out this wensite. I have called them and talked them and they sound like pretty good guys. if you call and polace the order you can have things added beside just gettin the standard things that are included. you can also buy the axles from them and you can get an LSD added into it for an extra 200 bucks. i think they use helical. i have ch3ecked into them b/c i wanted buy an H22 from them but i stopped b/c, well i don't exactly have the money to do it.
