Default Looking at a Type R

Hey Everybody,

I am alreaady a member of a few other forums(not car related) so i thought i would join this one, the reason being is because i am looking for my first car and i was looking to get a new 2008 Civic Type R, the latest one...
I was looking to buy within the next few months...
I am only 16, going on 17 when i get my car and really liked the looks of this new one. Its one of the fastest naturally aspirated cars around and thats why i like it, provisional drivers here in the state of New South Wales in Aus dont allow turbo/super charge cars, no hipo V6s, no V8s,V10s, etc etc
So basically i am limited to low powered V6s, any 4cyclinder, or a turbo diesel...

I am really into cars, and my family loving performance cars i thought the type r was a great choice, and man the test drive was awesome, my dad drove it with me in the passenger seat and it went hard, really went and the performance is fantastic...

Anyways, I joined to really enquire about the car and get some feedback. Anybody own the new type r?

Thanks for your time. Jono

ChampWhiteFD2 has a CTR, its super sick. If you can get your hands on a Type-R and can afford it, totally go for it.

Yeah, The new TYPE-R is 50% hand built in the UK by special technicians, so that made me go, i really want this car...

I have always liked the new Civic and the Type R was just a bonus...if anybody can give me some advice or information that isnt out there on this car before i buy it...
The only thing that lets me down with the civic, is its not AWD...the FWD doesnt do it justice...oh well...

Thanks for the welcoming

If they offered the type R in the states I would be saving for one of those instead of getting a 240 :O I say go for it if you can get one.
