Alright guys, I recently got a red 2000 Honda Civic EX coupe...power everything, sunroof, spoiler, hupcaps....woot, and 102,000 miles. She's the new beater/gas saver car as I drive a 04 Hemi Ram, 345HP, 10mpg .

I don't plan on racing her, but I do want to make her look nice, and I have some questions.

1. I think the shocks are blown, do they slip out of the coil or do I have to compress the coils? If so, it probably would be easier to buy a cheap set of coilovers with shocks and install those right?

2. I want to get rid of the spoiler, is there a lower profile spoiler that will install in the same holes as the old spoiler?

3. Where is the best place to buy aftermarket parts? Funny I ask because I'm actually set up with Pro-Motion Distributing, but I don't want to deal with taxes on my own purchases.

As for appearance I have alot of low cost mods already in mind...black housed headlights, tinting the stock tails, mesh grill, Si fogs, maybe a drop and of course some wheels, probably 18s.

I thank you guys/girls in advance.

nice and welcome:

1. to replace the suspension and struts, the springs must be compressed.
2. The spoiler you currently have on the car is the SI spoiler package and is the most sought after spoilers.
3. The best place to purchase aftermarket parts depends all on how you want the vehicle to look in the end. (i.e. racey, blingy, jdm, euro style)

fyi 18's won't look good on your car. You won't ride good either and they most likely will rub.

Thanks for the posts guys....

ej6buddy, would you be interested in trading trunk lids then?

ShaTownCivic, 17's then? I was wanting a black face with a red lip.

As for the look I'm going for, I can not really fit it in a category, it's gonna be a black and red theme, no body kit, maybe a a set of lips and skirts, no spoiler, or a low profile one.
