mint 87 civic wagon 4X4
Hiya!
I just bought a mint (or damn near mint) condition 1987 Civic Wagon, "Real Time" 4X4. 100 000k! It's gorgeous and I just wanted somewhere to gush about it and glean tips and knowledge from other civic lovers.
About me: I'm a gal living in Calgary – my last car was an 89 Toyota Celica that I drove past 400ks. I loved it.
This is my car (this image is the actual car. I bought it for a much talked-down price, and as I said, it's perfect)
Anyway, hi!

also curious:
it's in amazing shape - totally purrs, nice highway driving, not a spec of rust anywhere, the engine is pristine... inspection shows that it's 100% A+.... what would you do if you had just bought this? Should I take it in for a once-over mini tune up? Should I get a nice wax finish to protect the currently amazing exterior? I just want to preserve and protect it, mainly (but still drive it)... tips please?

YESSSSSSSS!
That's the car I would pick for my next project if I could afford one... or if I had a place to work on one. The AWD platform is great. And if you found one that's in great shape, thats even better.
Do you have maintenance records? Has the timing belt and such been changed recently? If you don't know, you might as well get some of the routine maintenance done: Spark plugs, wires, oil change, timing belt, etc.
