Im lookin into buying a civic sometime in the near future. are there certain models that i should look for? how much should i expect to pay for a decent car. i know im going to turbo it, so what which motor would be best for that, besides an engine swap. thanks for helpin a newb out.

Yea Its really what you want you can go any way..... Like most people go for the 92-95 Hatchback just because they are so light any just about any motor will fit.

Honestly many people will argue that but It really doesnt matter as long as u dont try to build it high REVs
Go Vtec A real good motor to start will be The B16

welcome to the forum. As was stated, the b16a (found in 99-00 Si's / Canadian SiR's) would be the best "off the lot" engine to boost. Well, bang for buck wise anyway. Other than that the LS/Vtec (b18b w/GSr head) ...something with low compression [:-]
