New to civics
Okay.. so i'm completely new to civics... or imports for that matter... i've worked on a few just doing minor things b/c personaly i prefer domestics... call me a redneck or whatever you'll be far from right... So i received this 99 civic hatch in a race... it's just a 1.6l engine.. well i would like to do some work but i'm at a blank when it comes to hondas i mean the engine work wouldn't be a problem i could figure that out on my own but i would like to put something bigger in it to give it more power possibly turbo or supercharged down the road but right now i was looking around and someone told me about a Dart B20 engine now i understand that 20 represents 2.0l not sure what the b means but i understand it's a beastly engine so i'm looking at one of those but alot of people keep screaming k20 so what would be best for me this car would also be a daily driver which consist of driving through mountains also i keep hearing H22 help please and also i'm looking for an engine that would be very easy to find modifications for

RE: New to civics
B, H and K are all DOHC, K wil be the hardest swap but give you the best results, then comes H. It's a bit harder swap than the H, but gives you a bit more power, and hten the B. you're right, the B20 represents 2.0 liters, and the swap consists of engine/tranny, motor mounts, shift linkage and ECU. B series swaps are fairly common and you can find alot of info about htem.
