Hey guys, name is Ryan. Bought my first civic a couple weeks ago. Pretty excited about it XD. Its a 91 Civic DX (Hatchback) automatic, dark gray exterior as well as interior. Bought it off a friend of Dad's for a steal. Only $300 and the only major problem we know of as of now is that it needs a new transmission. Not too big into high performance but if anyone wants to give me ideas of how to "trick it out" on the exterior feel free to post. Oh and if anyone wants to sell me a rebuilt or slightly used automatic transmission fairly cheap lemme know too :-) . Working at a bowling alley and going to school so i cant afford much lol. As of now i'm looking to grab an ok one from the local pick-n-pull.

 

As for exterior, lip kit, lowered, and wheels. You'll be pretty much set. A dx does not have any of the trim pieces painted (door handles etc etc). You could get them painted to make the car a little nicer as well.

 

I'd go with a manual transmission.....better gas mileage, more fun, etc

 

yeah i considered switching it to standard transmission, but that take WAY too much effort lol... i'll probably just buy one later on
