Talking The New Girl

Well basically I've been working on my civic for 3yrs off and on now. It's a 97 civic ex coupe vtec. I didnt know much about cars starting out and have learned along the way thanks to my big bro. I was discouraged last yr because it had been broken into twice and one of those times I approached the guy and he attempted to stab my face with a screwdriver. I'm over that now though so time to try to finish her up. And yes my cars a girl LOL.

I can relate to discouragement. My first civic was broken into once and stolen twice.

I wasn't stabbed guys but almost was. I just walked up to him and asked what he was doing in my car and he pushed me and well I pushed back. My mom got after me for not being careful about approaching thieves.

Amanda my family is the same way "if someone is breakin into your car why would you risk them breaking your face?" I'd rather somewhat try to stop them.. I have a 97 EX as well and sadly there are people who just don't know how to keep their hands off of things that aren't theirs. It's amazing how you bond with a vehicle once you've actually turned a wrench yourself on it.

Yes I know I've put a lot of parts on myself now. From the interior carpet to an upgrade on my alarm (airhorns) LOL. I am just the type I'll be damned if I bust *** to buy parts just to standby for someone to steal it

I bought an alarm and WAS goin to have a friend come over and install it today BUT there was a tornado/3" hail/snow warning I was so irritated about not being able to park my car in the garage that I got angry and managed to clear enough of it to where my civic is with in a 1/4" from touching the wall It's just way too much of an investment.. it's your freedom and who willingly hands that over
