Default new guy

what up guys i'm new to this site and new to owning a honda. i currently have a 87 crx si. and really i want to do is fix it up to have good speed and pass people on the freeway. i just have an intake system but looking into buying more things but i can't seem to find **** for this year. is it the same as the 88 1.5 or anything else i should know maybe some cheap trixs. i used to have a 94 saturn sl2 and i had it running high 14s daily driver and all motor here in el paso texas and hoping to get another one soon to have as a straight drag car. well any help will be cool plus i really want to learn this crx and one other thing is the body different from a 87 to 88 or would a body kit from a 88 fit? thanks in advance.

if you want to lower it in the front you can adjust the torsion beams to lower it a bit, the rear you can get eibach lowering springs for it. pacesetter makes a headr and exhaust( they are cheap and you get what you pay for). that body style is different than the 88-91 so a body kit wont fit on an 87. if you want a rather cheap suspension upgrade, get new polyurethane bushings for it, it will be the biggest improvement for the suspension ever.

cool deal guys looking into this thing a bit more a pacesetter headers with a diy catback exhuast. plus some good set of wires withe good plugs ( any suggestion) cause on my satty i had denso iridium. does msd make distributers and how bout an intake manifold plus the tb is also diy. thats what i kinda looking to doing to my car and maybe putting this turbo i have laying around just boosts up to 7 psi can stock internals handle that. thanks guys.

you can get a good set of plugs and wires, and it is an external coil car factory, so you could just buy a msd blaster to pump up the voltage a bit. i don't know of any manifolds for it unless you want dual weber carbs and i can't remember who makes that at the moment. it might be possible to retrofit a throttle body from a 88-91 si but im not sure of the diameter or of bolt patterns of the 84-87 engines throttle body.
