Default New Guy.....

Hey new guy here..... I just got a 91 Civic HB from my buddy. It has 251,000 on the 1.5 Liter, blue with blue interior. 4 speed MT. I am new to civics but not new to honda. My wife has a 2003 Cr-v, which is on the market now. Getting a VAN for growing family, Honda of course. I will be attaching link soon. Anyways back to the Civic, I got the car for $75 bucks and am planning on pimping the car out. I need some direction on this site and advice on what project to do first. Any ideas? I have decided to clean, and renew the interior, including the stereo. I think then I will turn my attention to the motor. It needs a good detailing and there is a significant oil leak. When I get some money I want to start the body work. I will attach pics soon. Josh

Wow, that's a GREAT deal!!! How could he sell it to you for $75? Is it full of rust? Well ok, we don't have to assume there's something wrong with the car but still... $75...
Like you said, you should take care of the essentials (paint, frame, interior blah blah blah...) before anything because a fast car won't last you long if it's a rust-bucket.
Do you have any idea of what you want to do to the engine after? some turbo maybe...?

yes there is some significant rust. I am going to have to replace the hatchback lid, the skirt between the bumper and the lid, and the driver side rear panel above the wheel well. The friend of mine was just tried of having the car in his garage I guess. He had no plans of restoring the car and just used it as a daily driver. Due to the mileage, it had started to nickel and dime him to death. My plans are as of now to address first the interior, body, suspension, engine swap, turbo ?
