Alohaz All, I just bought a 92 Civic Hatch DX w/Ac. Paid $550 for it. The big catcher was it had 205K miles on it. But it was a single owner, who had all the maint records from Honda. He changed the T-belt 2x, clutch 1x, and all the scheduled maint done. There is one thing with it though. When starting it first thing in the am, the idle will go up and down like it's racing. But after it's all warmed up, it's good to go. Any ideas?

WELCOME! is the idol jumping around when u start it or does it just go stay up high for a min then slowly come down to normal? mine normally when i start it up cold will go up to about 1500rpm for a min, then after i drive a bit it'll come down to about 400rpm at normal temp...

i think hondas have something to warm up the engine, because i noticed that too when cold it revs close to 2k but then after it warms up it lowers to 1k or lower if hot.

Thanks all for the welcome. yeah the idle jumps up and down. I don't know how high because I don't have an rpm? gauge.
