New Guy Willing to Learn
I have a chance to buy a 1993/94 Honda Civic DX Coupe. It has some front end damage, I'm told there is no frame damage. To get it on the road I'll need a hood, radiator, and headlights. The car has been lowered and has a performance exhaust. This guy will let it go for $200.00. I get the title this Friday. What do you think??? I want to fix it up and eventually swap out the engine. I've been reading up and learning, i have a D15B7 and want to put in a B16 or B18, any input is welcome...Educate me...

I think that sounds like a great deal so long as you look at it like a project car. It's probably going to take a little more effort than you think to get that thing back to running again... so I hope you at least have something else to get you around in the mean time.
As for your plans on the swap... it really depends on what your goals with this car are. If you want a full on road racer or drag car with a high budget... maybe a B16/18 would suit you. But if you're looking for something that won't leave your pocketbook sore and still be plenty of fun, you might consider a higher end D series... or even buidling the motor you've got in there. (Honestly, not a huge fan of the B7 though.)

It outlines the practicality of a D vs. B series swap. Very interesting read.
Hope that helps.
Take it easy.

welcome to the forum[sm=hiya.gif] sounds like a great deal, $200.00 is so cheap, just take a look at it and make sure it hasent been really bad damaged, but you can get a carbon fiber hood and projecter headlights instead of stock stuff

Welcome to HCF! Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you if you get it. I say get if that's the only thing that's wrong with it. I'm assuming you have another car that will get you around.
Good Luck and keep us posted.
