Hey, just making my first post. I am not at all new to forums and the crazy crap that goes on and all the people who make fun of your ride. I am not one of those people. But i know there are those ones out there but oh well.

Anyways. My first post here actually does have a meaning. I just bought a Honda civic (go figure, why else would i be here) It is nothing great and i will admit it, for now it is just a car for my fiance to drive from home to work to save on gas. It is a 1989 dx with a 5 speed. At this point it is just a beater, but i do know there is so much you can do to the hondas now, so i am not sure whether to leave it stock or start looking to build a motor. Thats where you guys come in. If you want, drop me a PM giving me some heads up info on what can be done besides exhaust and intake, and what motor i should be looking for to slap into it over this coming winter. Other than that i guess i am done with this post. Thanks in advance for the help and hope that this forum is as helpful as the others have been in the past.

 

welcome to the forum. there are plenty of guys that can help you out on the motor stuff...just not me...sounds like a nice project!

buy a 1st generation b16a, then just start building it. go all out the first time around, then when you drop it in, it will be done. no more piddling around with it once its in.

 

^I'm with that guy. Its a lot easier to work on a motor with it just sitting on a stand.
