New to the Honda game...
Hi all. [sm=wootwoot.gif]
Just got a 1998 Honda DX 5spd coupe and wanted to say hello to a new community of friends. I bought this car for my work commute cause my Evo8's premium gas was kinda killing the pocket books.[8D] My family has owned a Honda before and have lots of friends who had Civics, so I'm pretty familiar with Hondas in general, but this is the first time I owned one... so I will have some questions that hopefully this forum will help with.
Looking forward to meeting some of you guys on the forums. If anyone near the Metro Detroit area can help with the mechanical stuff, please pm me cause I'd love to learn from you and get as much knowledge about Hondas in general. This car will be lowkey and pretty much minimal mods, mostly just to keep it running well (over 86K miles) and maybe just a bit of "power" from the D16Y7 1.6L engine. The wife already said to "keep it simple, stupid".

RE: New to the Honda game...
hi and thanks.
yeah I love driving the evo but the gas companies really make it hard for people to enjoy their cars as they should. [&:] so now it's the weekend car and the honda is the daily driver. Just need to get this baby tuned up and running even better.

hey.. thanks.
sorry no pics. besides, i wouldn't want to take any pics cause the exterior is not too pretty with all the dents, scratches, cracks on it. I'm looking for places to buy replacement parts locally so maybe one day, it'll look better.
