Default New Htbrid Guy!

Whats up everyone! I wasn't sure how many hybrid drivers were on here, bu I figured I'd see. I just bought a 2006 Civic Hybrid about 3 days ago. I drove a 2000 Wrangler from day one, but the 15mpg was annoying considering I drive at LEAST 1000 miles/week.
I figured this would be a great way of learning some more about the car.
Im a pretty simple person. Im the senior venomous reptile keeper at the ky reptile zoo. I've been there for about 5 yrs while I worked on my degree in wildlife mgt.
Outside of that, I ride sportbikes religously! Ive been riding since I was kid and can't seem to get enough of them. Unfortunately I can't ride now due to hand surgery I had today. Ill b back to ridin in a month or so. So if you cant catch me on here, u can catch me on wildcatriders.com. BTW Im currently riding a 2005 Kawasaki ZX-6R.

LOL Honored I feel! Yeah the hand recovery will be slow, but I should be able to at least cruise around town here in a few weeks. No track days for a few months though.

Welcome! How much mpg are you getting with the hybrid now? Lol, must be way more than 15 mpg
Oh and I like your Kawasaki! I don't know much about bikes, but your tires look very worn lol.

LOL Yeah that tire was a little worn. Those pics were put on there shortly b4 a burnout video that wildcatriders.com did. Si II wasn't just cruising around on a bad tire.
So far w/ the hybrid Ive averaged about 46mpg. Not too bad considering Ive been driving it normally. It gets better mileage than what I was expecting. I can deal w 3x what I was getting.
