Default new member.. FROM the bay area :)

Hey guys, I am going to buy the 6th gen civic. I was wondering which year would you recommend? 97, 98, 99, or 00 ? The mods I'm going to do is probably get a grill, Si rims, and tint the windows keeping it simple. Yet, I dont know where to get the paint to paint the grill or get a good deal in tinting windows =( Hope you guys can help a newbie out, thank you!

^I';m with that guy. Go for a 99-00 Si. Or, if you want to stay Ex, I'd recommend the 99 & 00 model there too, but I'm biased

Its just the front bumper, hood, healights are a little different in style, the inside panel is a little different (I actually like 99-00 front bumper more than my 97 ex), also the tail lights are a different color (97-98 model are red and orange and the 99-00 are red and white).

oh yeah, welcome to the forum and what part of the bay area are you from?

hey im in the bay area too. great to see other people around me are joining. i would go with the 99-00 model too for either an SI or EX. as for tint shops theres one that gave me a good deal on hegenburger in oakland. can't remember the name but they're right next to HEGENS BURGER. and paint i'm not too sure about. good luck and hit me up if you need anything.
