New member. Hello to everyone!!
Hi!
Just drove out of the dealership last Fri. with a brand new 2008 Si sedan Navi GG. So far so good! When I bought the car, I was into it for how well behaved it was for a FWD sporty car. Easy to drive (gotta love the shifter - my God!) and practical, for the most part. Had no idea that there are so many fan-boys out there - lot of random thumbs-ups and stop and stares - it's a Civic for God's sake!
Don't get how some say the car is underpowered - that's about as much motor as I want strapped to the front wheels for a daily driver. Honda knows exactly what they are doing - the lower torque keeps the front tire friction manageable while the high revving motor gives you a pretty substancial power band. Absolutely perfect in my book.
I heard about some more powerful FWD cars where they electronically limit torque to maintain control - not for me, thank you.
Anyway, hello to everyone ... I had lurked a bit to get some info on the Si before purchasing and a big thanks for all the help!!!
