New owner of '96 Civic
My brother just bought a new car and I kind of inherited his Civic. It's a silver 96 EX coupe with 130k on it.
When I got the car there was a film of cigar smoke residue coating every window. The tires were all at 18 psi. The best part was when I checked the oil and nothing showed on the dipstick. I added two quarts before it was at a reasonable level. 2 quarts low in a motor that holds 3.5 quarts can't be good. The belts seem to be slipping too, so they need to be replaced.
Other than that the car is in great shape. No body damage and the interior looks like new.
Anyway just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Matt and I live in Chandler AZ.

Welcome to the forum!
I ran with about 0.5 quarts of oil since I forgot to tighten the drain plug the whole way. Didn't even get the Oil PSI dummy light on the dash to come on while driving either. Filled it up, and drove the car for another 50K without problems prior to swapping out the motor.
