Default New Person and Project Civic

I just joined this forum and I have a 1996 Honda Civic DX Hatch. I bought the car about a year and a half ago while my main car was in the shop. About 6 to 8 months into driving it the oil pump went out and the engine starved. It shut down pretty quick. But anyway, I ordered $1100 worth of parts the week before it shut down. And the final package arrived the day it happened. SO... my question is, what's the best thing to do with this car. I want a project. My other car is a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege. It's what I drive everyday but I want to make something out of this Civic. Should I get it back in running order, install the parts I have and build from there or should I tear it apart, tub it out, and make it strictly drag? Let me hear some opinions.

i think its pretty much up to you want you want..but i would fix it up, put all the parts on..and make it into a really fast street car and drag it too since it is a second car

welcome!

Skunk 2 Intake Manifold, AEM Short Ram Intake, Megan Racing Catback Exhaust, Megan Racing 4-2-1 Header, Skunk 2 Short Shifter, GReddy Weighted Shift ****, Energy Suspension Shifter Bushings, and I if I'm not mistaken I got something else. I don't remember what it was tho. It's been almost a year since I've even looked at the parts. They're sitting in a storage building right now waiting on me to decide what to do with them.

I've thought about just building an awesome SOHC street machine. But I'd want to at least swap on a VTEC head before I did too much work to it. I'm going to pull the car to the house sometime either this week or this weekend and start cleaning everything up and looking at what all needs to be fixed.
