Hi Red dragon....

New to the site.... had my Black Honda type r for 6 months and it is the b@ll*cks. No modifications... just pure as the driven black snow.

Used to own VW's. Mark 1 golf gti... ok its a goodun. Mark III golf VR6. OK. Mark 4 V5 and GTI Turbo. Ok. This thing blows them all away. Its just got everything.

My question is.... What is the modification that honda are selling like... they reckon for £2K you can get over 300 BHP out of the thing. Is this the truth they speak?

Black Rider.

In the states we dont even get a type R[]

Over here Honda sells nothing that I know of as far as performance from the factory. On the new SI's you can get the "Honda Factory Performance" kit which is lowering springs, and a body kit, and bigger rims I believe. Other then that we get nothing.

Reddragon, correct me if I'm wrong

in America the Civic Type R is converted to a Civic Si

which means, stock less horsepower

Honda Factory Performance here comes with...

Front lip
Rear lip
side skirts
wing
coilovers
Overall-2gs extra

no horsepower, then again in america honda hates every aspect of giving the car more horsepower than what they give it. So i have no clue what your options are with the type r

Id love to have a CTR and i plan i to in the future have the K20A2 engine dropped into my car.

I also have a feeling my current engine wont last much longer, being i have and early civic si, meaning all 02's and some 03's came with bad engines, i feel mine is one of them so we'll have to see how much longer i can keep it before it gets replaced.

If you have anymore questions go to www.coloradoep3.com its the best site for info on the 02-04 civic si/type r
