Default New to site, have a few questions

Hey everyone, Iam selling my Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo to buy a civic and a dirt bike. I have always loved civics, my first car was a 95 Civic DX coupe. I had my fun with fast cars like my 300ZX, and now I want something quick, reliable, good on gas. I love the fact that I can do anything on a Civic I want as far as engine work. I am looking to buy a 92-95 Civic EX coupe prefferably black or white. I assume I will find one within a month, and I will post pics as soon as I buy one. I have a few questions: I read that Civic EX's usually run 16.4-16.5 stock. I saw a 94 civic coupe EX run 15.8 with intake, exhaust. I plan on buying a cold air intake, and full 2.5 inch cat back exaust. What times should I expect with a good launch? I have a lot of experience with 1/4 mile racing: I pulled a 2.1 60' time in my old eclipse GST with street tires which is very difficult to do. Also how short are the gears in the EX trannies, anyone know how fast they go in 2nd gear at redline? Thats one way I can tell, if it is under 60MPH then it is pretty short. My B16 tranny was sweet at redline I was at 53 mph in 2nd, helped out a lot with exceleration. I cant wait to find a civic, and iam glad I found this site, Iam sure I will have a lot of fun on this site. Thanks.
Zach

From Sac? Sweet! Im from the bay area. Sacicons and LEVIII would be great ppl to talk to about aftermarket stuff. They both live in Sac, and can get you great deals on aftermarket parts. Im not exactly sure what an EG coupe runs... I had an 00 Si, but sold it last weekend.

Anyway, Welcome to HCF. Im sure youll find lots of useful information here, and sounds like you will have lots to contribute as well!

I plan on buying the Greddy turbo kit. At 8 psi what kind of 1/4 mile times do D16s pull? I heard low 15s to high 14s which is pretty good. And does anyone have any info on the gear ratios, or how fast they are going at redline in 2nd gear? Thanks.

I live in citrus heights. I have to sell my 1990 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo before I buy a civic, but I plan on turboing the civic whenever I buy one.
