Hey guys! I'm new to this site, looks like a great place to gather info. I have began my search for a civic and have some questions before i make a purchase. Believe it or not, an old lady down my street has a 1994 civic dx coupe 5spd! It has something like 220,000kms on it but it has never been driven hard. Should I enquire about it? I have heard that the DX model only has something like 102hp, I'm not toooooo concerned about power but I would like a little something to play with every once in a while. What do you guys think? i've got a DX, they are definitely the lowest of the low as far as power goes, and 220K is pretty far up there in miles....but swapping in a more power engine/newer engine IS possible, i say atleast ask how much she wants for it.

 

ya i will definitly ask her soon. i cant see her aking any more than $2000 for it. if i were to swap for lets say a b16a or something like that, what would be the cheapest way to do it? how much does a typical engine swap usually cost? thanks again guys
