If you know a mechanic or if you know of a good place to get it checked out, such as a Firestone, Honda Dealer, etc., Ask the seller if you can take it and get it checked out by them.
Usually the sellers are pretty cool with this (at least all sellers I have dealt with have been more than willing to allow me to get it checked out by whom ever I wanted).

so i just went and checked it out yesterday and it was in amazing shape.
very clean inside and out, no leaks, tires and breaks are both fairly new.
clutch is tight, new timing belt about 40k miles ago. and all records are there.
so i thought i had it. then my dad, whos throwing in a grand toward it, goes and gets himself thrown in jail =/ so i gotta come up with a grand or somehow convince my stepdad to toss in another grand.
