Default noob with a concern

hey everyone, this is my very first post in this forum

i have a 97 prelude, but unfortunately, it's sitting out due to transmission failure. i plan to fix and sell it.
my first question and concern.. i wanna buy an h22a type s jdm engine, but i'm not sure what to put it in.
i wanted to get another base prelude and swap it, or get a civic and swap it.
there's a huge weight difference in the chassis, but preludes are made for h22's as opposed to civics.

any suggestions?

Go with a 6th generation civic. Preferably 99-00 EX

because it has the most aftermarket support in the world.... literally. Its also easy as anything to tinker with them. There virtually isnt anything you can do with that car. Its a great canvas to start out with.

get a JDM H22a. more horsepower and more bling factor among the prelude enthusiasts looking for a project car.

trust me. I almost bought one before I bought my new integra.

JDM H22as are teh shiznat for preludes.

they're relatively cheap compared to jdm Kseries engines to boot.

I will agree with this, also it's pretty easy to find one that's still in great condition

but I will also say that something OBD1 (92-95) is easier to screw around with emissions-wise. Depending on what state you live in.
