Noob question. How much is this worth???
Howdy. I'm new to the whole Honda thing so I wanted to get some input from someone who knows more than I do. I'm looking at buying a 2000 Civic Ex from the dealer. I'm looking at paying $7000 "out the door" for the car, sales tax, etc... There's about 130,000 miles on it, it has a lot of little scratches and the paint in general is just looking a little crappy (there's some spotting or fading or something). It looks great from a distance but up close it is very noticable. The inside driver's manual door lock is also busted, but I figure that's probably an easy fix (the auto locks still work). Also, The gauge lights also appear to not be working. I turned on the headlights but it was hard for me to tell whether gauge lights were on (it was daytime, but I still should have been able to tell right?). Oh, and I tried playing with the dimmer but it didn't do anything. This was the case with another one I looked at too. Is this something common and easy to fix (a fuse, perhaps?) or am I looking at having to replace something?
On the plus side, it has aftermarket exhaust, cold air intake, those z3 fenders, short shifter, and an alarm.
It's under the blue book value for a dealer, but I just wanted to check with the pro's on here and see what you guys have to say.
Thanks!!!
Oh, forgot to mention that it had rims (17's maybe) with about 60-70% tread on the tires and the front bumper seemed to be a little off (not very noticable, maybe it isn't, but it just "seemed" a little off).
Here's the link for the dealer:

I actually did take it for a spin. It ran fine. And apparantly the gauge lights do work. It was fun to drive and everything, but I'm just a little weary of buying something with 130000+ miles on it.
