Default OH GOOD! ANOTHER n00b!

I guess this is where I introduce myself. HI!

I'm new to the civic world. I put about 400+ miles a week on a car so I ditched my mazda6

OH GOOD! ANOTHER n00b!-mazda6.jpg

and became just another civic owner.

I bought my 2010 atomic blue civic lx on 4/20/10.

It's my first new car, and I hope to have it many pain-free and joyous years.

Please pardon the fact that she's still bone stock - wheels and tires are next on the agenda but I'm still waiting on my tax return (stupid first time home-buyers thing and IRS losing paperwork.... gggrrr...)

Anyway, if this forum is half as in-depth as some of the other forums I've been a member of, I will quickly become vocal and interactive. I hope to learn as well as teach during my stay here.

Welcome to the forum. Wow, those pics are tiny. Might I recommend a free photobucket account?

Yay... another 8th gen joins the group! Welcome to HCF.

Please, do not put the rims from the Mazda on the Civic. haha

What kind of wheels are you looking at getting? Any particular color that catches your eye?

Is that beastly R18 motor paired up with a standard or automatic trans?

I'm really picky about the wheels I put on a car, so I'm still undecided. The car has brand new tires, so I'll probably rock the steelies until I fry the tires, which will give me a good 6-8 months of looking and figuring out sizes. Chances are I'll go with a black rim. I'm not too sold on painted wheels, chrome would look bad with the blue (IMO), and black is clean and classy. Probably an 18x7.5 with a +35 offset, wrapped in a 215/40/18... not sure, I got some time.

Oh, the beastly motor is paired with an auto trans. I spend most of my days stuck in traffic and last time I had a stick I would get cramps in my legs from using the clutch so much. If I didn't spend so much time in the stop-and-go lanes, I would get the stick... however, for the safety of the car and my body, I chose the auto.

So no one liked the wheels on the mazda? That's a bit of a shock to me. I got compliments on them all the time. Oh well, to each their own I guess. I'll get something ya'll like on the civic. guaranteed.
