MXS, we can get parts for 2000 and earlier Honda's. Its just that Honda motor company has discontinued so many of the accessories for the earlier models that we do not put them on the site. If there is any accessories or parts that you need for the earlier models, just let me know and i can give you the special internet discount on it if its still available!

Partscheap: Have a question about the door edge guards for the 06 Civic. Are they simple to install? Something that a non-mechanic could do?

ncoday, they are really kind of a pain to install. I watched one of our Honda guys install a set on a '05 accord. The '06 civic ones work the same way. What you have to do is take the special cutting tool that comes with the door edge guards and slice a small strip of the interior door molding away. Then you take touch up paint (which i will need to add onto my site) and carefully paint over the part that you cut. After that drys you take a rubber mallet and hammer the door edge guards onto the edge of the door. It takes alot of patience and time to get it done.

For a 2000 SI, your looking at $198.00, pre painted in the stock colors for that year. I'm assuming thats a 7th gen.
