Default Petrol

Hi Guys, Im new to this. Ive just bought a 1998 Honda Civc ES 1.6 VTEC.

Im curious as to how it fares on pertrol, see im from Durham in England and over here we pay almost £1 per litre ($1.86) and im hoping it does not guzzle the juice too much. Anyone else with the same kinda model?

Also, what is the better engine.....VTI or VTEC?

thanks

I dont know how many mpg I get but it isnt great, If you drive it slowly and keep it under say 3500rpm it wont use that much but if you cane it you can practically watch the fuel gauge go down.
As for engine's yours is an 1.6 sohc vtec with 127 bhp and the vti is a 1.6 dohc vtec engine with 160 bhp. They are both vtec.

The vti wont drink that much more, just depend's on how you drive. I can get through a tenner very quickly on a bit of a blast. (like last night!)

£1 per litre ($1.86)
Whenever I feel angry about gas prices in the states I'll remember this number.

Its crazy, England is probably the most expensive country to live in when you have a house to run and a car or 2 cars. Id go to America anyday to live.

If only cars ran on coal, we'd both be set.

everyone says oh there paying like 5 dollars a gallon overseas, well thats because those countries use the taxes on the gas to pay for everything. look how little they pay for insurance and the fact that most workers get twice as much vacation time as americans.

Guys, I have a sister that lives in London...it is FAR more expensive than anything else in the US...I've lived in the US and it is NOTHING compared to the UK...She pays £600 for this tiny ****hole appartment and gas, food and other commodities are MUCH more expensive...gas is £1.00(US$1.86) BUT per litre not per gallon...1 gallon=3.79litres meaning that 1 gallon could cost you more than 2x the price of the gallon sold in the US...
For christ's sake a beer costs you £5-£7!!!!
