Is the Haynes manual more detailed than the Chilton's manual? Through the library in town, we get a membership to view the Chilton online resource website and the wiring diagrams really suck on it. It was helpful in getting the dash pieces I needed though. I may just have to go out and buy one of the Haynes manuals tomorrow to see what it has.

check out the helms as well, it's known to be a good one. and if you're going to get a header, don't get just a muffler, get the full catback exhaust system since a muffer doesn't really improve performance.

Thanks for the advice guys.
Is it the Service Manual that you are referring to? I went to there site and they have quite a few different manuals, but the Service Manual seems to cover the most. The other one that looks interesting is the Body Repair Manual. So do you guys think that it is the actual key cylinder that is broken then?

hell ya 200bucks definatly a steal as long as it still runs....
but most the time they just pop the steering colum with a screw driver and just break the steering wheel lock....
personaly if i was you... id look for a used steering wheel that not busted up....
or ya could always just cut the factory wires and such and wire in a remote starter alarm system and never mess with the key again.lol
or just fab up a switch box like a race car......
wish i could find a steal like that.... hell even tho it was stolen... its like your still stealing it.LOL

RE: So I got hooked for $200.
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I got it started tonight. Runs great. I kind of feel stupid though. After all that looking the column over I never noticed that when you turn the key it turns the switch on the left hand side of the column and apparently all they do is unscrew that and Voila!!. the car starts for them. That piece had been shoved back into place and I never noticed that it wasn't turning when I turned the key. I put in two screws tonight and it worked fine. Now I just have to finish getting the dash back together and I can start getting this thing tuned up.
Total investment so far:
$200-car
$50-window
$20-dash pieces
$55-battery (I am gonna' need to get one since I had to jump start it tonight to get it started.)
This might just turn out to be a fun little low-buck tuner after all.
Thanks for all the help you guys.
Josh
