I had a nice slammed 88 s10 with a killer system. Well to finish it on up I was into minitruckin real bad. One night I was driving and it caught on fire, didnt get any money b/c of liability. Im getting 7500$ cash to spend on a car and I want a Honda Civic. I looked at a 98 Civic EX with 130,000 on it and it got sold the day be4 I was going to get it. Well needless to say I want a 2dr. Civic with at least 100,000 miles maximum. Could someone please tell me the order civics go in. Like from 95 up to like 2001 ex,dx,hx,lx and all that. Whats the fastest one to get that still gets high gas mileage. Which ones have the DOHC V-Tech? And which ones have the single cam? I am currently looking at a 2000 civic 2dr hx with 82,000 miles. It has an intake and exhaust. I heard they have 115 hp and they have they get 39 Mpg city and 45 highway. Do they have the DOHC V-Tec?

 

A nice one to get would be a 99-00 Civic Si, it has a 1.6L DOHC VTEC 160HP engine.

edit: BTW, it's CX, DX, LX, HX, EX, Si.

 

Will someone help me please. Are the HX's fast? I cannot find any places online to buy intakes,headers and stuff for that motor! Is it just the HX is the body style and the motor is the same out of another honda? WHat do I look for when i buy parts for my 2000 HX Im going to get tomorrow?

 

I don't think there are as many parts available for the HX as the others.

Go with the Si, you won't be sorry. They still get good gas mileage.

the HX is the economy version. It will get good gas mileage. The body style is the same as the other Civics.

I agree, go with the Si. I love my Si. Pretty decent power, and equally decent mpg. And the 99/00 BS is my fav for the Si's. Not just cause thats what I have either. haha.

I concur....Si! BTW, ngotiator, I've got an HX. There are almost as many parts for the HX as any other. It's just that you may have to buy them as DX/EX parts. They fit just the same though.

BTW, what are they in this order for? Power? Price?
