well i live in scotland, there doesnt appear to be a "SI" version, theres LSI and ESI... either of these?

I figured you were in europe, since they didn't bring any opels/vauxhauls to the US

You should be able to find a typr-r over there, but it will not be cheap

is there a VTI? i think thats the fastest one, but for a young guy, that may not be the best plan, and i hear the insurance is outrageous over there on those. for good performance, and a little cheaper insurance, go with the Esi.

Hi, im from the UK aswell mate, My first car was an LSI 1.5 SOHC, believe it or not, it was a little rocket, you will be suprised with the performance! i had that when i was 18 and the insurance was the best part of £900, but a very very good and reliable motor! now im 19 i have a VTI 1.6 DOHC and i have fallen in love with it!! i cant possibly imagine abetter car for the money!..... but answering your question if i was you i would try and get insured on a LSI, you will not be dissiappionted!! good luck

I was insured with www.elephant.co.uk. My cover was third party fire and theft, and no other people on my cover... but if you put a parent or old person on your cover it seems to go down.. i put my mum on my cover at the mo and it took it down £400!!!!!! well pleased!
My car was a 1993 civic LSi, my total premium was £915
1 year on and i have a VTi and the insurance is even less!

Try them out, they might not work for you but, a lot of people i know are with them and are very happy

You want to do your pass plus if you have not already. im coverd third party, fire theft etc and on my own name on my 96 Civic 1.4i its costin me around £800 for a year but its my second car and i have been involved in a crash so you should be able to get insured for about the same probably if not less.

Pm me i live in scotland too...Now theres 2 of us!!!
