Default a work in progress

hey guys and gurls, this is my 3rd civic HB, my friends crash the other 2 [:@]. anyway, I don't know alot about car stuff but really don't have the kindda money that they want at the shop to fix my car. I got my '91 HB DX from a friend and he got it so low that I can't really drive it since it bounce so much that I am afraid something will break, he started on a 50/50 chance and the guy at the shop said there're oils in the distributor and want almost a grant to fix him up. Anyone got any advice? cheaper shop? do it yourself? but I don't know anything 'bout car stuff. the good thing tho. is he handle like a go-kart.

man stop letting your friends drive your cars, and that civic sounds like it needs a lot of work done.
