Worth messing with?

Hi i just got a 2005 2dr 5 speed Ex coupe, with the d17A2 engine. I've heard that this isn't really the best civic engine to tune, but is it even worth messing with? It is my daily driver, so I don't want to mess with it too much, for now at least.

if you really want some extra power, I'd say look into a K-swap
