Headlight Bulb Replacement

Headlight Bulb Replacement
1. Why do you want to do this?
To see the road better when needed, to no get pulled over for having a headlight (or two) out.
2. How long does this take?
~ 20-30 minutes. No P/S? ~10 minutes lol
3. Precautions?
Try not to touch the headlight itself as the grease/oils on your hands will get on the headlight. The headlights get extremely hot and the oils can cause the housings to burst! Other than that, nothing.
4. What's needed?
Replacement headlights (H4 if OEM)
Picture of the headlights... mmm sexy, cheap, and from pepboys.
Step 1 - Open the Hood
I won't show you how to do this, do we really need a picture? lol I used my brothers car as both of his headlights were out, and it would be unfair to show you all how to do it with my car since CC and P/S are gone, making it easier to work on the driver's side.
Step 2 - Remove bad headlight
First, pull out the harness from the back of the light.
Now, pull off the rubber weatherproof thingy. This:
Reach your hand behind the headlight once again, and push the little clip "IN" and then "DOWN". The clip should swing off to the side like it's on a hinge.
It should now look like this:
Pull out the headlight. Throw out the dead bulb.
Step 2 - Install new headlight
Place the bulb in the headlight housing the same way the previous bulb was.
Re-install the rubber weatherproofing seal...
Re-install the harness to the back of the bulb...
Done!
For those of you who still have P/S, this is how I work my way around the reservoir and all that.
100% Done!!
