Default SPARK PLUGS!

what will happen if you get the firing order wrong when installing new spark plugs...... will it not start?are the spark plugs supposed to be labeled to a certain one? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

it doesn't have anything to do with where the plugs end up, just which wires are connected to them. Should be in this order...

If not in that order, it'll probably backfire, start for a second then shutdown, make lots of loud popping noises, etc..

As you look at the distributor from the same view as Forty04's picture, the wires go to the plugs #1, #3, #4, and #2 going around clockwise with the #1 wire at about 10 o'clock. (Plug #1 is the one furthest from the distributor) The sequence is always the same but the distributor cap position of #1 may vary somewhat from model to model.

Does it matter if its ex/lx/dx/si ? Or is it the same order for and civic.

ooh ok thanks i had it all right......... i just didnt know about the actual plugs if they had to be in a certain one but i got it all cleared up now!
